Avatar: The Last Airbender to premiere in 2026
On social media, Netflix released the first teaser, which gives viewers a first look at the Earth Kingdom. They posted, "Welcome to the Earth Kingdom. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 is coming in 2026." After a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Aang, Katara, and Sokka regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).
But fans have been waiting a long time for the introduction of Toph Beifong (Miya Cech). The fan favourite character is a blind Earthbending prodigy who joins the Gaang. Her tiny demeanour hides super strength, and the character goes on to teach Aang earthbending. The first look teaser also finds Aang, Katara, and Sokka observing Toph compete in an earthbending competition, just like in the animated Nickelodeon show. Another major reveal from the teaser is that Zuko’s sister, Azula (Elizabeth Yu), has started to bend lightning.
