Satish Shah Prayer Meet: Ailing Wife Emotionally Sings His Favourite Song Tere Mere Sapne With Sonu Nigam

actor Satish Shah left behind an unmatched legacy in Indian cinema and television. Survived by his ailing wife, Madhu, he died at the age of 74 on October 25 at his residence in Mumbai. The Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor underwent a kidney transplant a few months ago to stay fit and take care of his wife, who is battling Alzheimer's. Shah’s family and friends organised a prayer meet on Monday to celebrate his life.

A devastated and visibly frail Madhu attended Satish’s prayer meet. Sonu Nigam paid tribute to the veteran actor by singing his favourite songs. The singer made everyone emotional with his rendition of Mohd. Rafi’s song, Tere Mere Sapne from Guide. Mourning Satish’s demise, JD told ANI, “This is a big loss. He was a very knowledgeable person. I spoke to him the day before yesterday. He was absolutely fit, but we couldn't meet him that day as he said he was very tired and wanted to sleep.” Ramesh Kadatala, Shah’s manager, shared with ANI, "It was around lunchtime, around 2 pm. He was eating lunch and collapsed after having one bite. The ambulance arrived after half an hour, and we took him to the hospital, and he was declared dead." Satish Shah was last seen in the ZEE5 web series, United Kacche, with Sunil Grover. He played the role of Jogu Chimanlal Pate.
