Border 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with JP Dutta’s JP Films. Backed by a powerful production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and directed by Anurag Singh, the film continues the legacy of honouring the heroism and indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers, taking audiences on a spectacular journey of patriotism, courage, and sacrifice. The movie opened to thunderous reactions from both critics and audiences. Helmed by Anurag Singh, the sequel to the 1997 film Border was theatrically released on January 23, 2026. It clashed with Timothée Chalamet's Marty Supreme at the box office. Now, producer Bhushan Kumar has recently confirmed that Border 3 has been greenlit and will be directed by the same
filmmaker.
Border 3 confirmed?
In a recent conversation with
Hindustan Times, Kumar talked about a separate film he was making with Anurag. He said, "We are doing a joint venture (a different film) with his company and my company. He’ll be directing, and it will be something new. Border 3 will happen in due course."
On the possibility of
Border 3, further, he added, "Obviously, it is such a big franchise, Anurag has worked so hard to rebuild it. If you bring something back after almost 30 years and it is getting so much love, we will definitely take it forward."
