The WONDERfools director addresses Cha Eun-Woo's tax controversy
Ahead of the release of
The WONDERfools, Yoo In-Sik addressed growing speculation surrounding Eunwoo's scenes. At a press meet in Seoul on May 12, Yoo denied allegations that the Netflix series underwent editing changes to minimise the actor's screen presence. According to the director, the editing and post-production process had already been nearly completed by the time news surrounding the actor surfaced publicly.
Yoo explained that the drama's overall quality and completion remained the highest priority throughout post-production rather than outside controversies. He carefully clarified that he could not comment extensively on matters he described as personal issues concerning the actor. However, he made it clear that creative decisions surrounding the series were never influenced by attempts to alter or reduce Cha Eun-Woo's role.
