It
is about time for Ramayana’s next glimpse. The makers of the mythological drama will be unveiling ‘Rama’, a special glimpse to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti on April 2. Nitesh Tiwari, the director of Ramayana, plans to unveil the official first looks of the key characters. While Sunny Deol’s Hanuman remains central, Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi will be introduced as Lord Rama, Ravana and Sita. Ahead of the Rama Glimpse’s release, the Central Board of Film Certification cleared it with a U certificate on March 30.

Ramayana’s Rama glimpse is 2 minutes and 38 seconds long. Producer Namit Malhotra applied for the certification in Mumbai. The first glimpse of ‘Rama’ will be launched on April 2 at a grand event. Mumbai is one of the locations. As per sources, the video will premiere at 9:00 AM on
Hanuman Jayanti.

About Ramayana
Ramayana is a two-part franchise. The first is releasing on Diwali this year and the other is scheduled for a 2027 release. As revealed by the co-producer, Namit Malhotra, the combined budget of the film series is approximately $500 million, or around Rs 4,000 crore. The exact figure hasn’t been revealed yet.

Ramayana is Ranbir Kapoor. As per various sources, he earns Rs 150 crore from the franchise (Rs 75 crore for each part). Yash, who co-produces the film with Namit, has reportedly charged Rs 100 crore – Rs 50 crore for each part.

Ramayana includes Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as Dashrath will also feature prominently. Kajal Aggarwal will portray Mandodari, while Rakul Preet Singh takes on the role of Shurpanakha. The cast further includes Amitabh Bachchan as Jatayu and narrator of the film, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyut Jihva, Suhail Nayyar as Sugriva and Kunal Kapoor as Indra.
