Vikrant
Massey successfully transitioned from TV to films, leaving a mark in both mediums. The actor, who was last seen in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, recently joined Times Now's 20th Anniversary Special Broadcast for an exclusive interview. In conversation with Times Now Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Vikrant discussed the real reason behind leaving the 'religion column' blank in his son Vardaan's birth certificate. For the unversed, Vikrant and his wife Sheetal Thakur had intentionally left that column blank. The couple was blessed with their son on February 7, 2024.

In an exclusive chat, Vikrant shared, "See, the Indian government gives me that option. Today, the Indian government gives me the option of whether I want to write (in) the religion column or not. It's up to you. And it's my right to utilise that." The actor added that nowadays, single women are no longer required to mention their husband's name in passports. "Unko likhne ki zarurat nahi hai. Yeh saare changes humare system mein Bharat mein aaye hain."
The Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan actor added that he comes from a 'multicultural family' and has seen the dark side of it. And that's the reason he doesn't want to expose his son to that. "Tomorrow if I have another child, he or she, they have the right to sort of do whatever they want. The honourable government of my country gives me that option to leave that space blank and I left it blank," he added.
Vikrant Massey on touching wife Sheetal Thakur's feet
Continuing the conversation, Vikrant reflected on touching his wife's feet on Karwa Chauth. The actor revealed that there are many people older than him who touch his feet, but he doesn't like that. "I ask them the last time they touched their parents' feet. You don't know me; you just aspire to be like me. You are touching my feet for no reason. I feel weird when someone touches my feet. I immediately touch their feet."
That said, the actor doesn't consider it a big deal to touch someone's feet. "In fact, it's a gesture of reverence. And it's sort of to give it back to the other person. And it's not just about Karwa Chauth. I think I have touched Sheetal's feet a lot. Pair choo-choo ke hi Laxmi ghar aayi hai," he said, and signed off.On the work front, Vikrant will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's
O'Romeo.
