Pallichattambi Faces Legal Trouble?
Beyond the viral buzz, Pallichattambi is facing serious legal trouble. A Dubai-based businessman has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a stay on the film’s release. He alleged that the producers financed the film using Rs 14 crore that was obtained from him illegally. The petition names producers Naufal Ahmed and Brijeesh Muhammed, accusing them of misappropriating funds. According to the complainant, the film was financed using this disputed amount. He has also requested investigations by central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). However, it is important to note that these allegations are yet to be proven in court.
The Kerala High Court has taken cognisance of the petition and issued notices to the producers. Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, Pallichattambi features Kayadu Lohar alongside a strong supporting cast including Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Vinod Kedamangalam, and Prashanth Alexander. Initially scheduled for April 9, the release was postponed to April 10 due to Kerala Assembly election voting.
