Now, the actress herself has broken silence and made it clear that no one can support Ranveer and his work in the way that she does. She also sarcastically answered trolls who are 'reading too much' into just social media activities of celebrities.

Taking to the comment section of an Instagram page which questioned Deepika's alleged silence on Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the actress made it clear that she is on her husband's side always. The actress wrote, "I watched it way before any of you did", and then cheekily added, "Now who is the joke on?".Take a look at her comment:
Deepika Padukone's comments arrive after the Aditya Dhar directorial has crossed Rs 1000 crore at the Indian box office and has become the first ever Bollywood film to reach the milestone. Deepika's comment proves that she had watched the film early and knew the kind on impact it will have on the box office.

While the actress had not spoken about Dhurandhar 2 before addressing the controversy today, she promoted Dhurandhar aggressively in December 2025. She had also posted a glowing review of the film. The actor took to her Instagram Stories after watching the spy thriller and wrote, “Dhurandhar has been watched and is worth every minute of those 3.36 hours. So do yourself a favour and get to the cinema hall now!” Praising her husband, she added, “So incredibly proud of you, Ranveer Singh,” followed by a kiss emoji. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now on its way to create box office history as it eyes Pushpa 2 and Dangal's all time records. The film revolves around Hamza Ali Mazari (Ranveer Singh) aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi's Mission Dhurandhar to eliminate Pakistani terrorists harming India and Indians. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film boasts a strong ensemble cast including R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Danish Pandor as Uzair Baloch and Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali.
