The makers, along with the cast, have announced that the official title of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming project will be unveiled on
Monday, January 26, coinciding with
Republic Day. The announcement poster shared by the team features a vast landscape with people moving in a single direction across sand dunes, hinting at a large-scale war sequence. The visual aligns seamlessly with the film’s theme, which is rooted in real historical events that took place between
1854 and 1878, set against the backdrop of

Vijay, Rahul reunites
With this film, Vijay Deverakonda reunites with Rahul Sankrityan after Taxiwaala, released in the year 2018. The
first glimpse of the upcoming film was unveiled on the occasion of Deverakonda's birthday. With his back to the camera, the actor sat in a calm meditative pose, his muscular frame and long hair through the silhouette. Seated inside a grand ancient temple, he faced a glowing figure.
Arnold Vosloo to play British officer
Amid the massive buzz around the film, South African actor
Arnold Vosloo, who’s famous for playing the antagonist in The Mummy (1999) is being roped in for a significant role in the action drama. He will be playing the role of a British officer. The rumours started after a post by actor Vinod Sagar on the sets of VD14 made rounds on the internet.
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in The Girlfriend, released in theatres on November 7, 2025 and is currently streaming on leading OTT platform Netflix. Meanwhile, she is also shooting for Cocktail 2, alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The film will reportedly release in the third quarter of 2026 between August and October 2026.
