Revealing how she bagged this song in Stree 2 and her character Shama, Tamannaah told The Indian Express, "When Aaj Ki Raat came along, Amar explained the whole story to me and said that I have to play and dance like Shama. He said, ‘You are playing a character, this is not going to be just another song.’ That gave me a little bit of food for thought, because I was like, ‘Yes, I can play this differently'."
