playback singer Asha Bhosle has been hospitalised. The legendary singer was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after she suffered a cardiac arrest. She is currently undergoing treatment, as confirmed by Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital to Times Now. Having said that, there's no official statement issued by her family. That said, the date of her hospitalisation isn't known yet.

Asha Bhosle is undergoing treatment at the Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. While a senior doctor from the hospital has confirmed her hospitalisation, more details about the legendary singer's health condition are awaited.
For the unversed, the singer has predominantly worked in Indian cinema throughout her musical career. In her career spanning eight decades, she has recorded songs in various Indian languages for movies as well as independent albums. The veteran singer has been the recipient of two National Film Awards. In fact, she was even nominated at the Grammy Awards.
When Asha Bhosle spoke about finding her voice
In an old interview with
Waves OTT, Asha Bhosle recalled how her childhood habit of imitating singers, watching films and listening to songs became an informal training ground for her. The veteran singer also mentioned that she drew inspiration from singer Carmen Miranda.At one point in her career, the veteran singer struggled to sing Sir Ramchandra's song. That's when she thought of Camren and sang. "I sang it during the take and everyone loved it. They asked me, how did you do this? I didn’t tell them that I imitated Carmen Miranda. In the same way, I changed my singing every time. I changed my voice and style," she said.

On the work front, Asha Bhosle became the first Indian singer to be nominated for the Grammy Award in 1997. Three years later, in 2000, she was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Some of her iconic songs include
