Well-known actor and production controller Kannan Pattambi is no more. The Malayalam actor passed away on January 4. He breathed his last at the age of 62. The actor had been undergoing treatment for a kidney-related
ailment. Pattambi actively worked in the cinema for nearly three decades. He balanced on-screen performances, and work behind-the-scenes. Major Ravi confirmed the sad news of his brother's demise on social media. Taking to Facebook, Major Ravi penned a note, mourning the loss of his brother. Here's what he shared.
Kannan Pattambi dies at 62
Kannan Pattambi passed away around 11:41 pm at his residence in Nhangattiri, Palakkad. In an emotional message on Facebook, Major Ravi wrote, "My dear brother, Kannan Pattambi, who was a film production controller, passed away at 11:41 PM last night. The funeral will be held at Pattambi's home in Njangattiri today at 4 PM. My younger brother, Kannan Pattambi, has left for his heavenly abode. Om Shanti."
While Pattambi often stayed away from the spotlight, he was heavily involved with smooth execution of major projects. He acted in around 23 Malayalam films. Many of them included high-profile production ventures. Pulimurugan was one of the major milestone projects in his career. It went on to become a landmark film in the Malayalam cinema.
