Now where did that confidence come from? Because I was psyched. It came from my mother. I just held him and whacked his wits. Everyone turned around and then everyone comes to help. Earlier, she revealed that a boy used to eve tease her after she came home from her studies. It made her uncomfortable and she told her mother about the boy. The next time, her mother, along with a huge entourage, was waiting in the same lane when she came home. When the boy turned up, her mother talked to him to make sure it never happened again. Divya added, "Had my mother said, Nahin, nahin, it's okay beta, you take another lane. I would still be afraid of going through lanes. My fear of lanes went away." She shared that these things that we learn about growing up, also with fear, are a key part of growing up. How she learned how to say no in the film industry The National Film Award-winning actress also revealed that she has learned how to speak up for herself now after a couple of uncomfortable experiences. She said, "Your choices speak. I have taken the longer route. I have waited for things when I want to do things my way. And I think it's a very small industry. People know. When you say a lot of nos, then afterwards your yeses also come. That takes time. You've got to learn how to say no; the way shouldn't be ruffling feathers but you've got to say no."She went on to say, "You make your mistakes and you get up and say this didn't feel good at all. I don't want to do this scene this way. Probably I couldn't say that at that time. But the aftertaste it left me with, I wasn't comfortable with it. The next time it happened to me, I said, 'Sorry, I will not do it.'" Respect is not just for your relations; it's for yourself." Chiraiya, created by Divy Nidhi Sharma, is based on the Bengali web series Sampurna. Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Shaw, Faisal Rashid, Tinnu Anand and Sarita Joshi also star in the JioHotstar show.
