their loved ones at home. Shubhangi Atre, who recently exited from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, will also be celebrating Christmas on a grand scale this year. In an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Shubhangi, aka former Angoori Bhabhi, revealed that her secret Santa is in town and the celebration is going to be extra special. Let us tell you, her secret Santa is none other than her daughter, Ashi.

Shubhangi Atre Shares Christmas Plans

During a candid conversation with us, Shubhangi Atre opened up about her Christmas plans. She said, “So, my Secret Santa is here. Ashi, my daughter, has come today, and that itself makes me extremely happy. I don’t want anything else right now. I just want to spend time with her because for so many years I have been working continuously. Now, whatever time I have, I want to dedicate it to her. After almost two years, she has finally come back to Mumbai, so I’m planning to spend all my time with her. If we plan anything, it will just be the two of us. So yes, my Santa has already arrived.” In fact, Shubhangi is also planning to become a Santa for her daughter, Ashi. After all, Ashi studies abroad. Hence, Shubhangi gets very little time to spend with her daughter. While elaborating more about her special plans, the former Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain actress said, “I will also become Santa for her, and I’m still thinking about what surprise to give her. This year, my main focus is on spending quality time with Ashi because after so many years, I finally have this opportunity to be with her.”

When asked about her childhood memory of Christmas celebrations, Shubhangi Atre said, “Since childhood, I have always been excited about festivals because I love the chaos, happiness, and celebrations that come along with them. When I was young, we couldn’t always get a proper Christmas tree because my father had a government job and we lived in a small place. So we would cut small branches from trees and decorate them instead. People from nearby areas would come together to celebrate Christmas. I would bake the cake myself because I developed an interest in cooking when I was in the 6th or 7th standard. I remember baking cakes on a tandoor or gas stove during those days.”

Shubhangi Atre On Losing Ex-Husband In 2025

Shubhangi Atre has witnessed a couple big losses in her life in 2025. Her ex-husband, Piyush Poorey, died in April 2025. Apart from that, she was also replaced by Shilpa Shinde in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. When asked about the bad memory that she wants to erase from her life this year, Shubhangi Atre said, “Not at all. In my heart, there is only gratitude. God has given me so much. Whatever happens in life, whether good or bad, we often label experiences as “bad,” but in reality, they are lessons meant for us. I embrace everything that comes my way along with the lessons it brings. I feel very happy and grateful. In 2025, I personally faced a very big loss, and everyone knows about Piyush. But even then, I have no complaints. I truly believe that God always holds my hand.” Talking about Shubhangi Atre, the actress has worked in several TV shows such as Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Kasturi, Chidiya Ghar, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and so on. She played the role of Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain for 10 years. After her exit, her fans are looking forward to seeing her again on the small screen.
