Talking about his upcoming project Inspection Bungalow, Shabareesh said "I love doing humour stories. Inspection Bungalow is a horror comedy, there’s an investigation happening in the background too, but mainly it’s all about the fun and scares. Let’s see what the audience feels about how well we’ve pulled it off."

He also said “Playing Vishnu was unlike any role I’ve done before. He’s a simple man caught between fear, absurdity, and the humor that life sometimes throws at us. That mix of emotion and dark comedy really challenged me as an actor. Inspection Bungalow isn’t a straight horror story, it’s layered with irony, emotion, and moments that make you laugh even when you least expect it."For many, Shabareesh Varma is addressed as 'Nivin Pauly's friend in Premam', but with new and interesting films in his career, the actor tells us that this tag is wearing off. He said "It actually started changing with Kannur Squad (starring Mammootty in the lead).
