As per new development, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Fardeen Khan are set to collaborate for a potential biopic of Indian filmmaker V. Shantaram. The project will be produced by his daughter Kiran Shantaram and will go
on floors in the next couple of months.

Siddhant has already done a photoshoot for a look test, and the resemblance is striking. V. Santaram was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and film will depict his 70-year career as a filmmaker and more. He is survived by his three wives and seven children. His first wife was Vimla, then he married to an actress Jayashree, with whom he had two children, and later, he married to Sandhya. Santaram, who is know by Annasaheb, passed away on October 30, 1990.Siddhant will play the titular role while Fardeen Khan’s character is kept under wraps for now. For the unversed, V. Shantaram is known for iconic films Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957), Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (1955) and Navrang (1959).
