actress Rani Mukerji is set to return with the third installment of crime thriller film series, Mardaani on January 30. Ahead of her promotional events, the actress will be making an appearance at The Great Indian Kapil Show on January 24, Saturday, at 8 pm. The project will see Rani return to the screen in her beloved avatar as Shivani Shivaji Roy and will give a deeper into another dark and brutal reality of our society. This new film has been written by Aayush Gupta of The Railway Men fame and helmed by Abhiraj Minawala.

Ahead of the release of Mardaani 3, Rani Mukerji is set to convert host Kapil's couch into a crime scene this time. She is set to iterate her character of Inspector Shivani Shivaji Roy and will take up a new case, but this time with extra laughs, taaliyan and total madness. Sharing a promo video on Netflix's official Instagram handle, Kapil expressed, "January 30 ko film aa rahi hai lakin usse 6 din pehle ye humare ghar aa rahi hai, January 24 ko, only on Netflix."Take a look at the promo video:

Meanwhile during an exclusive interview with Zoom, Rani spoke about the importance of films like these that take the viewers on an uncomfortable path to depict the harsh realities of society and cruel truths that surround our living. She strongly mentioned that it is time 'to accept' the disturbance because till we don't see these things, we aren't ever going to be aware of these things.

Backed by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 delves deeper into another dark and brutal reality of our society. Previously, the first two installments in the franchise talked about sensitive subjects such as human trafficking and a serial rapist. The film is slated to reach the theatres across the globe on January 30.
