However, a recent update by the South Korean media portal Naver suggests that the makers of the show have started working on the second season of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the project is in pre-production stage. The reports of the show being revived for a second season was widely shared by fans on social media, who flooded the internet with overwhelming reactions.

As per a report in Naver, industry sources have stated the writer of the K-Drama Moon Ji-Won has started work on Extraordinary Attorney Woo’s second season script, implying the show is in pre-production stage. The report further shared that the pre-production of the series is “progressing normally." The K-Drama's writer Moon Ji-Won is “currently writing the script.”

She is shown to be raised by a single father. In the K-Drama, she is seen tackling the challenges in her profession of an attorney and set her footing at a major law firm, while facing tough competiton from her peers. Interestingly, Extraordianry Attorney Woo's last episode recorded an impressive viewership rating of 17.5 per cent - the highest for an ENA drama to date.

Why did Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2 took 3 years?

For the uninitiaed, Extraordinary Attorney Woo got greenlit for a second season after a thunderous response for the K-Drama by the audience worlwide. At first, the makers of the show had decided on releasing the season season in the year 2024, and they even took a step and signed on a scriptwriting contract with the show's writer Moon Ji-Won in 2023. But, because of the casting schedule and script work, the show couldn't match the 2023 deadline for a season 2. The same was confirmed by Extraordinary Attorney Woo's lead actress Park Eun-Bin in a 2025 interview. She had said, “I haven't received any contact regarding casting yet.”
