In an interview with Zoom, Rasika spoke about her longtime connection with the city. The actress shared that she met many like-minded people and attended a college that encouraged free speech. She said, "I've lived in Delhi for three years. I went to college in Delhi, so some of my most beautiful and formative years were in Delhi. I went to LSR, which is a very feminist college, and it's really a place where I found my voice for my feminism. I think my feminism was always there. Those years were very special."

However, she added, "Those years were also strange because it was also a city which was not safe for women, so there were lots of restrictions on how we went, till what time we could be out, what time we had to come back. We had strict hostel deadlines, and that whole system was in place because the city was not safe for women and I feel that's a very unfair way to make young women live. Why should our freedom be jeopardised because men don't know how to behave themselves? Or society doesn't do anything about it."ALSO READ: Delhi Crime 3 Actress Rasika Dugal On Marriage With Mukul Chadda; Admits 'There Have Been Ups, Downs And...' - EXCLShooting in Delhi also comes with risks, as the recent terror attack has shown. There's complete havoc in the world about... you never know you go for a trek and there's a landslide. That of course is very unfortunate, whether it's a nature thing or something which is humans inflicting violence on each other. And there's so much of it happening in the world.
