So, with new music, a world tour and multiple nominations - we are happy to report that BTS are dominating the music scene just like before.
BTS at AMAs 2026
According to organisers, BTS will appear during the 52nd edition of the
American Music Awards. BTS first made their U.S. television performance debut at the AMAs in 2017, introducing themselves to a huge American audience with an unforgettable performance. They later returned in 2021 and created history by winning the coveted Artist of the Year award, becoming one of the biggest global acts to ever dominate the ceremony.
The group, who are already 11-time AMA winners, could further extend their record this year. BTS have received nominations in three major categories - Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer and Best Male K-Pop Artist. The band is expected to perform their biggest hits, including tracks from
ARIRANG.
BTS and ARIRANG's success
In April, the band started their grand ARIRANG World Tour after releasing sixth studio album, ARIRANG in March. The project is BTS’ first full-length album in nearly four years after all seven members completed their military duties. The comeback has already turned into a record-breaking success story. The album debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart.

Swim, also topped the Billboard Hot 100 and remained at Number One on the Billboard Global 200 chart for four consecutive weeks. Apart from the AMAs, BTS are also preparing for another landmark moment later this year. The group is set to co-headline the first-ever halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final alongside Shakira and Madonna.
