LinkedIn CEO Says These 4 Soft Skills Are Getting Higher Value In The AI Era

AI is disrupting a lot of industries, and especially the lives of working class people. While we agree that there are some hiccups like job cuts and price hikes for device, but there are a few skills that can help an individual in the AI era. In a recent interview at the 'Tools and Weapons' podcast, LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslanky said that AI is automating routine tasks. He stated that the shift is elevating four human-centred skills: curiosity, communication, courage, and compassion. He said, 'These turn out to be some really, really important skills to do your job well. The focus and emphasis on those, along with the AI, is what I think gives us the opportunity to dream big and paint a much more positive picture that exists with humans and technology

The CEO said, 'These skills, they're important, but they've historically been talked about as soft skills. In a professional world where people are actually much better at these skills and have really honed their craft in it, I think that it makes things a lot better.'When AI handles the automated responsibilities, Roslansky stated that agents can free up time for coworker conversations, imposing a greater premium on communication, judgment, and emotional intelligence. He said, 'Sometimes when you're mired in the technology, and especially with AI, and you kind of draw out where this could potentially go, it leads you to some dark places. I believe that humans play such an integral role in shaping where that technology should go.'
