Days after the film's blockbuster success, the singer spoke to Times Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar. In the first episode of Baatein Dil Se, Satinder reflected on various aspects of his personal and professional journey, including the making of Jaiye Sajana. In fact, the musician also revealed whether he's ever been heartbroken in life. Responding to this, Satinder shared that he is an empath.

Satinder Sartaaj on being empathetic

On Baatein Dil Se, Satinder was asked if he's ever been heartbroken in life. To this, the Dhurandhar 2 singer said, "Agar aapka pichokad gurbat ka hai, toh vo badi keemti cheez hai. Main usko badi keemti (cheez) samajhta hoon. Vo aapko bohot kuch sikha deti hain. Tajurbe de deti hain. Vo aapke unconscious mind mein kahi na kahi settled hain."

The singer further revealed that if he ever felt like crying in life, it must have been after seeing some 'bebas, besahara' poor person. "Toh vo fida se nisaar hone ki journey jo hai na vo meri fitrat mein hai kahi na kahi," shared Satinder.The musician further admitted in Hindi, "The one thing I've ever been proud of in my life is that I'm a very empathetic person. I'm proud of that. When you move from empathy to compassion, there's a blessing in it. You become a very beautiful person." Satinder Sartaaj prefers shayari over music In the same conversation, Satinder clearly stated that he prefers shayari over music. "If I had to choose one thing in life: either mausiki (music) or shayari. I will choose shayari," the singer said. He added that language is the greatest treasure for him and he considers it powerful than music. "Language is something through which we can communicate at this very moment," he added.
