Sour and Guts, actress-turned-singer Olivia Rodrigo has officially unveiled the name and release date of their third album. Titled you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, the album will be released on Friday, June 12, 2026. On Instagram, Rodrigo also debuted the album cover, which shows the Grammy winner upside down laughing on a swing, dressed in pink. A world tour is expected to be announced later this year. Fans are already speculating on the type of songs that will be featured on the album, especially after Rodrigo's breakup with Enola Holmes actor Louis Partridge.

On Instagram, the 23-year-old singer simply revealed that her third album, 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,' would be out June 12. She also added, "I am so proud of this record and I can't wait for you to hear it." Prior to the announcement of her new album, she removed all her Instagram posts. She has also changed the profile picture of her account to match the new album.
While fans were excited about Rodrigo's new music and album cover, fellow singers and actresses such as Addison Rae, Suki Waterhouse, and Gracie Abrams also shared their support for the
Good 4 U singer. Rodrigo, along with Joshua Bassett, was one of the breakout stars of the Disney+ series
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in 2019. She released her first single,
Driver's License in 2021 and transitioned to singing full-time. She also launched her debut album
Sour and won the Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist awards at the Grammys in 2022. She followed it up with her second album
Guts in 2023.
Olivia and Louis Partridge break up
In December 2025, reports revealed that Rodrigo and her actor boyfriend
Louis Partridge had broken up. The couple had been together for over two years. Partridge was seen by Rodrigo's side after she headlined the Glastonbury Festival in the UK. The two were first seen together celebrating Halloween together in London in October 2023 and reportedly met via mutual friends and became “inseparable” after messaging one another.
The couple made their red carpet debut together at the premiere of his Apple TV series
Disclaimer at the Venice Film Festival in August 2024. They were also spotted together at last year's Wimbledon. Neither Rodrigo nor Partridge has commented publicly on the split, although the new album, written during their relationship, might hold several clues.
