Singh delivered the biggest hit of his career with Dhurandhar. After the spy thriller's blockbuster success, the actor is rumoured to be excited for his next project. Titled Pralay, the zombie drama is said to be one of the most ambitious movies of his career. It is reportedly being directed by filmmaker Hansal Mehta's son, Jai Mehta. Speculated to be set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film's budget is apparently out. According to a media report, Pralay has been mounted on a budget of Rs 300 crore. It could be Ranveer's most expensive standalone movie of his career.

According to Pinkvilla, Ranveer's upcoming movie is a large-scale actioner with strong human emotions and a plot revolving around family in distress. Said to be made on a budget of Rs 300 crore, Pralay might become the Bollywood's expensive project of his filmography. As far as Dhurandhar is concerned, it was mounted on a large scale. However, the two-part format split the production costs.
"Ranveer has entered into a backend profit-sharing deal and is involved in every stage, from script development to VFX planning. This is also the maiden venture under his production banner, Ma Kasam Films, making it even more special for him," a source told the entertainment portal.The report further suggests that Ranveer and Jai's Pralay might rely heavily on VFX and content in equal measure. And while there's no official announcement about this project, it is expected to go on floors in May or June 2026. Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is reportedly the female lead of Pralay. The makers are yet to make the casting official.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer was last seen in Aditya Dhar's spy thriller,
Dhurandhar. Released on December 5 last year, the movie shattered several box office record. Co-starring Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt, the movie opened to great feedback from critics and audiences alike.
Three months after the movie's stupendous success, Ranveer's Dhurandhar 2 is ready to release in theatres. Helmed by Aditya, the second installment is rumoured to be larger in scale compared to its first part. Ranveer will be seen reprising the role of Hamza. His co-stars, too, will reprise their respective roles from the first part. Produced by B62 Studios and Jio Studios, Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for a big screen release on March 19.
