Reports
of a casting shake-up in NBK111 have taken the internet by storm, with speculation that Nayanthara has exited the project and Kajal Aggarwal has stepped in as the female lead opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna. While there has been no official confirmation from the makers yet, speculations are rife that the change may have been influenced by budget constraints, scheduling conflicts and Nayan not being too keen on promotions. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film has been one of the most anticipated projects in Telugu cinema, especially because it was expected to reunite Balakrishna and Nayanthara, a duo who have consistently delivered hits in the past.
Kajal Aggarwal is replacing Nayanthara in NBK111
According to reports in Moneycontrol, one of the key reasons behind the alleged change is Nayanthara’s remuneration. The actress is said to have quoted a fee close to Rs 10 crore, which reportedly did not align with the film’s budget. Additionally, there were concerns regarding her availability, as well as her known reluctance to participate in promotional activities. These factors are believed to have made it difficult for the project to work out for both parties.
On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal is said to have emerged as a more feasible choice for the team. Reports say that she has agreed to adjust her dates according to the shooting schedule and is charging a comparatively moderate fee. Her willingness to actively participate in promotions is also seen as a significant advantage, especially in today’s competitive era, where visibility plays a crucial role in a film’s success. As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, Kajal has 'officially come on board' and will have a challenging and substantial role. It also mentioned that the actress is thrilled to collaborate with Balakrishna once again.
