Lionsgate Play is set to release Peter Dinklage, Kirsten Dunst, and Channing Tatum's Roofman on December 19. The film earned a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for its
fragile mix of longing, escape, and unexpected grace. It is inspired by the true story of Jeffrey Manchester, a man who vanished into the rafters and reimagined his life in the shadows. The star cast has spoken about the film while also mentioning their experience working with each other.
Lead actor Channing Tatum speaks about his character
Channing Tatum spoke about meeting the real-life Jeffrey Manchester. He said, "I didn’t know what to expect, talking to him (Jeffrey Manchester). Some days, we talked about him, others we just talked about me. And talking to Jeff was really easy, he kind of takes care of you in the conversations. We’re telling the story about a guy that is a liar, a bit of a con man. And he can’t really get out of that. But he does have parts of his life he wants out there, because he has a lot of regrets for the hurt he’s caused. One of the first things he said to me was, 'I should be in here. I deserve to be here.' He knows he’s done things wrong, and that he’s responsible for that. When playing a real person, it’s the filmmaker I listen to. I’m just a vessel to help divine whatever the truth the filmmaker is trying to divine. All I can do is be of service to that and let it come through."

NDTV, Peter Dinklage, who takes up the role of Mitch, manager of the Toys "R" Us store, spoke about working with the talented cast, saying, "Kristen’s always been one of my favorite actresses. The choices she makes are just incredible. I’ve been such a huge fan. It was such an honor to work with her, finally. Channing, he was just an extraordinary actor. He has such a grace to him. And I find that being a dancer, that physicality is already in place, and it behooves the acting side of it so much."
