Dacoit Release Date: Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur Thriller To Clash With THIS Film

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s Dacoit has a release date. Earlier, it was scheduled to release in December 2025, but Sesh’s injury pushed it to 2026. Now, the film is getting a festival release in theatres.

Confirming the date, the makers unveiled a new poster featuring the lead actors.

Dacoit will be releasing in theatres on March 19, 2026. It will be clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period romantic drama, Love & War, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. It is releasing on March 20, 2026. Sharing the new poster, Mrunal wrote on Instagram, ” EXperience EXplosive drama with #DACOIT. GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON MARCH 19th, 2026 in Hindi & Telugu (sic)."

About Dacoit

Dacoit promises an electrifying cinematic experience, seamlessly blending high-octane action, raw emotion, and gripping drama. With the fiery chemistry between Sesh and Mrunal, and Anurag Kashyap in a pivotal role, the film is poised to make a lasting impact. In an exclusive interview with Zoom previously, Sesh lauded his co-star Mrunal and said, “I think she's extraordinary. She's such a delight. I think she's shooting in Scotland or in London - somewhere in the UK, and she's still sort of staying up all through the night making sure she's doing her part to take Dacoit to the masses. It means a lot to me that she's so emotionally invested.” Talking about Dacoit’s tone and mood, the actor shared that it is “very muscular’. He stated, “I think that comes from our hearts. Every line has been discussed, each dialogue has been acted out with each other. I think it's Shaneil's vision that's really sort of made it very contemporary.” He signed off, saying, “It's a very American look at a very Indian story.” Marking Shaneil Deo’s directorial debut, Dacoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, the film’s story and screenplay have been jointly crafted by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. Currently in post-production, Dacoit is gearing up for a grand pan-India release.
