producer RB Choudary’s passing on May 4 deeply affected the Tamil film industry, with several actors and filmmakers paying their final respects. Among them was Superstar Rajinikanth, who shared emotional memories about his friendship with the producer during his visit. The actor revealed that RB RB Choudary had recently expressed his wish to make his landmark 100th film with Rajinikanth in the lead role before retiring from cinema. Rajinikanth who visited his residence, also spoke about the producer’s humility, professionalism, and contribution to the industry. He remembered RB Choudary as a hardworking person.
Rajinikanth Recalls RB RB Choudary’s 100th Film Dream
During his interaction with the media, the actor revealed that RB Choudary had visited the sets of Jailer 2 around four months ago and shared his wish to make his 100th film with Rajinikanth in the lead role. The Superstar said that although he never collaborated with RB RB Choudary professionally, they shared a close friendship. According to Rajinikanth, the producer wanted to retire after completing the landmark project and had a few stories in mind for him. Rajinikanth said that he had agreed to work on the film.
Rajinikanth also recalled filmmaker KS Ravikumar telling him that RB RB Choudary had introduced and supported several directors in the industry. He said the producer played a major role in helping many filmmakers and technicians build their careers. The actor further said that most of RB Choudary’s 99 films were completed without major problems. Even when issues arose, RB Choudary would personally meet the concerned people and resolve matters in a calm manner.
Rajinikanth Remembers Producer’s Personality
The Superstar spoke about the qualities that made RB RB Choudary stand out, including his hardworking nature, honesty, faith in God, and positive attitude. Rajinikanth recalled asking him how he remained healthy and cheerful throughout the years. He said RB RB Choudary believed in working within his limits and avoiding unnecessary risks. After completing a film, he would leave the rest to God and focus on planning his next move. Rajinikanth also offered condolences to his family and loved ones.
RB RB Choudary’s 100th Film: With Rajinikanth, Vijay or Venkatesh?
RB RB Choudary also shared a close bond with actor Vijay. The producer introduced Vijay through Poove Unakkaga and later backed films such as Love Today, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Thirupaachi, and Jilla. Earlier, actor Jiiva had mentioned that Vijay was likely to work on the production house’s 100th film. However, reports suggest this may not happen following Vijay’s decision to step away from films. It was also reported that RB RB Choudary had been in talks with Telugu actor Venkatesh for the 100th project of his banner. They collaborated on films such as Suryavamsam, Vasantham, Raja, Seenu, and Sankranthi, all of which emerged as major blockbusters.
