wondering about the fate of Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield for Stranger Things Season 5 get an update as a new clip shows Max with boyfriend Lucas Sinclair, played by Caleb McLaughlin. However, the non-spoilery clip shows that Max has a long way to go after the events of Season 4. The new sneak peek at Stranger Things was shown on The Jennifer Hudson Show as Caleb stopped by to promote his upcoming projects, including the animated feature Goat. Jennifer and Caleb also co-star in Goat, as the host plays his mother in the family film.

At the end of Season 4, Max (Sadie Sink) technically died. But she hasn't woken up yet in the new season and remains in a coma. The confirmation of her fate was shared with a new clip shown on The Jennifer Hudson Show with guest Caleb McLaughlin. In the clip presented on air, Caleb's character Lucas can be heard saying, "She can't do this alone. She's going to need all the help she can get. She's going to need The Party, the full Party, which is why I'm here. The final battle, I feel like it's starting tonight, and Max, we can't win this without you. If my theory's right, we're running out of time. If you're planning on resurrecting anytime soon, now is the time."

The 24-year-old also spoke about spending half his life on the Netflix series. He joined the show when he was 13 and spoke about how fans think he's part of the family since he basically grew up with them. The actor didn't share any spoilers about the new season, only saying, "It's heavy in the beginning. We're going right at it. Where we left off in Season 4, Vecna got us. High stakes."Recalling his first day shooting for Stranger Things, Caleb said, "I remember the first day vividly. It was in the basement. The very first scene that you see us, the boys, in Mike's basement, playing D & D that was the very first scene we filmed, and all I remember is just us laughing the whole time. The crew was upset with us. The Duffers, they thought it was great. What happened was Finn sneezed before his line but got back in character. But we thought it was hysterical. We couldn't get it together, and it ruined the day."The first four episodes premieres on Netflix on November 26, 2025, at 5 pm PT. It will air in India on November 27 at 6:30 am.
