It brings the striking pairing of the two Korean heartthrobs, who are reuniting after a small stint in the 2016 K-drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo where Byeon played a cameo as the cheating ex-boyfriend of IU's character. But this time, they are going full throttle with their fun camaraderie, a glimpse of which we saw in the script-reading video posted by MBC on January 29. The clip also features the supporting cast of Noh Sang-Hyun, Gong Seung-Yeon, Yoo Su-Bin, Lee Yeon, and Chae Seo-An and others.

Byeon Woo-Seok adds to the remark, "I'll work hard to shake up the world in 2026," as Noh Sang-Hyun jibes, "We’ll make it so that we shake up the space." Gong Seung-Yeon further claims, "I’ll work hard to make it an enjoyable set."The fun atmosphere during the script reading session proves how the ensemble cast was comfortable sharing screen space, ensuring the final product leaves fans happy. While MBC confirmed the show will arrive in April 2026, many fans are speculating that Disney+ had set April 3 as the release date, to be specific.

Directed by Park Joon-Hwa, Perfect Crown is set to release on MBC in spring 2026. Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, Perfect Crown will tell the love story of Sung Hee-Joo (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo-Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.
