Hulchul is one of the best comedy films in Bollywood. In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi expressed that he had a 'bad experience' working on the film set. The actor stated that he had a bad experience because the role promised to him was allegedly much bigger than the one he eventually played. Now, in an interview, filmmaker Priyadarshan has reacted to Arshad's claims of not having good experience on Hulchul set. Speaking to a tabloid, the director admitted that he is upset with what the Bollywood actor has said.

In an interview with Mid-Day,
Priyadarshan reacted to Arshad's claims of being tricked into playing a smaller role in Hulchul. The director said, "I was very upset [when I read what he said]. I could be wrong and maybe it has been misinterpreted, but if he has [complained], I am shocked."
He further recalled a conversation he had with Arshad after the film was released. "After the release, he called and told me, ‘Priyan sir, I never thought that I would get this kind of appreciation.’ Hulchul was a big hit, but Arshad said it was a flop film. That has pained me; why would he say that when it was one of my hit films?"The filmmaker highlighted that people loved and appreciated Arshad's performance in Hulchul. "I am very upset and deeply hurt by these accusations from Arshad. He had no reason to complain," he added.
What did Arshad Warsi say about Hulchul?
In an interview with The Lallantop, Arshad revealed why working on Hulchul was a bad experience for him. "But in that film I realised there is a huge difference between 'aap dono iss film main dost hain aur aap iss film mein inke dost hain'. We reached the set aur aisa mujhe dhakka laga, and I don't think Priyadarshan knew about it. It's not his fault," he revealed.Meanwhile, Hulchul now streams on Amazon Prime Video and JioHotstar.
