Award winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are officially returning for a fourth installment of the blockbuster franchise, The Mummy. Universal Pictures has dated the movie for a wide theatrical release on May 19, 2028. Last year, it was confirmed that Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett are working on a fourth film in the series that began with The Mummy, starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, and continued in 2001’s The Mummy Returns, followed by 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor.

Last month, the makers dropped the first teaser of the film and offered glimpses from the narrative, showing a situation around the discovery of a completely wrapped mysterious body, wrapped, and photographers clicking pictures.
