What is the story about?
Bigg
Boss 19 has been dominating screen space lately, from audiences calling it a biased show to fans coming up with their own wild theories. Now, ex-contestant Baseer Ali has joined the conversation, calling the makers “lost midway” and accusing them of being “too controlled” this season.
Baseer Ali Calls the Show “Controlled” and “Confused”
In a recent chat with Viral Bhayani, Baseer Ali shared his thoughts on how the makers have handled the show this year. He said, “In a way bahut controlled lag raha hain because iss baar jo collaboration hua hai, Colors, Jio and Endemol now Bani J, toh I think vo uska result hai because isse pehle Endamol and Colors. Kis tarah se show ko navigate kiya hain for the audience and everything ye unke haath mein hai and kahin na kahin shayad unko bhi realise ho raha hoga but baat bahut aage nikal gayi hain, the ship has sailed and ab vahan se u-turn leke aane bhi utna hi nuksaan hain aur aage badhkar finish karne mein bhi utna hi hai. Toh I feel like biasness is still a bigger word, mere hisaab se jis tareeke se iss show ko jana chahte the makers, vo khud kahin na kahin shayad lost hogaye, kahin na kahin unka naksha kho gaya ya toofan aandhi itne zor ki aayi ki ship kidhar le jana unhe bhi samjh nahi aa raha.”(“In a way, it feels very controlled because of this new collaboration between Colors, Jio, and Endemol (now Bani J). I think that’s the result of this change. Earlier, when it was just Endemol and Colors, the direction of the show was completely in their hands. Now, maybe they’re realizing that things have gone too far — the ship has already sailed. Turning back would cause as much damage as going forward to finish it. So, I feel ‘bias’ is a strong word, but the way the makers wanted to steer the show, they’ve somewhere lost their way. It’s like they’ve lost their map, or the storm has been so strong that they no longer know which direction to take the ship.”)ALSO READ: Bigg Boss 19: Baseer Ali SLAMS Makers, Reveals 'Didn't Get Any Feedback In 9 Weeks' - EXCLUSIVEBaseer Ali on lack of clarity in Bigg Boss 19
Baseer further highlighted with talking to Zoom that there was no clarity on who was leading the game even after nine weeks of the show. "But I have said this many times that I don't understand who is leading this show. Who is this show about? Because spending 8-9 weeks in a house and not even knowing who it's about, who is leading and who's behind, who's being liked and who is being disliked... it leaves you in blank space," he added in Hindi. The actor also admitted that he was 'scared'. "I was definitely scared for myself. I was sure that my audience was with me. and that I will get a lot of support. But double eviction hoga or mujhe kam votes ayenge, ye decision mujhe thoda sa off laga. But jaise Bigg Boss kehte hai ki gharwalo ka decision saraankhon par, toh Bigg Boss ka bhi nirnay saraankhon par," he said while signing off.Bigg Boss 19 streams on JioHotstar at 9 pm, and on Colors at 10:30 pm.Do you find this article useful?
