The 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Class is about to become a starry affair this year. Taylor Swift has been named alongside Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten, Graham Lyle,
Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of the rock band KISS, and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on June 11, 2026, in New York City. Swift becomes the youngest woman by nearly a decade to join the prestigious American organisation, which was founded in 1969. The singer, who has been performing since she was 11, was inducted in the first year of her eligibility.

At 36, Swift has reached an incredible milestone by becoming the youngest woman ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The global pop star, who has 12 studio albums to her name, is coming off an incredible year in 2025, and her entrance in the Hall of Fame marks her as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation.
This year’s honorees have several classic songs. Swift joins the club with top songs such as
Blank Space, Anti-Hero, Love Story, All Too Well, and
The Last Great American Dynasty. Canadian singer-songwriter Morissette is best known for

Hand in My Pocket. Afanasieff has many hits with Mariah Carey and wrote hit songs like

One Sweet Day.More special award honorees for the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame gala will be unveiled soon. Songwriters Hall of Fame chairman Nile Rodgers shared in a statement that this year they recognised some of the most culturally significant composers in history. He added, “This year’s lineup not only showcases iconic songs but also celebrates unity across various genres. These songwriters have profoundly impacted the lives of billions of listeners worldwide, and it is our privilege to honor their contributions.”
