Singer Sudhir Yaduvanshi, who rose to fame with Kill, is receiving praise for his powerful vocals in the title track of Dhurandhar, where he performs alongside rapper Hanumankind, Jasmine Sandlas, and Shashwat
Sachdev. Still new to the industry, Sudhir says he is growing slowly and steadily, and this project has been an important milestone.

Talking about how the song reached him, he explains that singers usually get very little information before recording, saying, “Usually in the Bollywood industry, you don't know what the song is, who it is for, or which movie it belongs to because composers and directors don’t disclose anything.” His only aim was to give his best every time he entered the studio: “My aim was to go and sing the song well. Whatever I get, I should do it properly.” When he found out that the part he recorded was kept in the final track, he called it destiny, adding, “It was a game of fate that this part of the song was kept in the final version.” Sudhir admits that earlier he would get extremely excited about such news, but now he is more balanced. “To tell you the truth, earlier I used to get very excited and happy. Now that excitement has reduced.” Sudhir prefers staying practical and focused on work, saying, “Now I just think that I should go, sing, and come back. If something works out, good. If it doesn’t, that’s also fine.” Still, the appreciation made him feel good: “Everyone congratulated me when the Dhurandhar title track came out, so I felt happy.”

As a newcomer, Sudhir tries not to keep expectations, saying, “There are already two more singers in this song, and I am a newcomer. I don’t keep expectations.” But he still appreciates positive feedback: “Of course, I will feel good if someone calls or gives feedback saying I did well.” Recording with Hanumankind was a unique experience for him. “The experience is very good and unique.” He loves the rapper’s style and adds, “He has an international feel… His vibe is international rap, international hip-hop. So collaborating with him is unique and good for me.” Sudhir hopes the two can collaborate again in the future: “Maybe in the next 2–3 years, I will definitely do a solo project with him.” Inside the studio, he stayed focused and respectful around senior artists. “When seniors are present, you can’t talk much. You just have to make sure that whatever work is given, you do it well.” The experience taught him a lot: “The working experience was very strong. I got to learn a lot.” Sudhir's journey into Bollywood has been gradual. “Everything is happening gradually for me.” His appearance on a reality show may have helped too: “Maybe when I went to the reality show and sang in front of Karan sir, he liked it a lot.” Sudhir believes his vocal style is rare in the industry: “Singers of my style are very few in the industry. You can count them on your fingers.” When asked about competition, he says it comes only from within. “My competition is with myself.” He talks about his humble beginnings and says, “I started from a situation where I had nothing - not even a home. I used to walk 15–17 kilometers to college.” This is why he focuses only on hard work: “Just keep doing your work.” Sudhir is deeply inspired by senior singers and never feels bad if a song goes to them. “Even if a song goes to them, I never feel sad. I feel I have taken inspiration from them.” He feels blessed, saying, “I feel I am very lucky. God’s grace is on me.” Looking ahead, Sudhir reveals he has been extremely productive recently: “My target for the last year and a half was to sing 150 songs… I have already recorded more than 100.” His upcoming work includes big releases: “Haunted 3D is coming. I have sung a song for that. It will be released in January.” He also has another film project: “There is a movie based on Banaras. I have sung for that too.” His goals are balanced between commercial films and independent music: “My target is two-sided: Bollywood as well as my own independent songs.” Fans can expect a flood of new releases from him soon: “From January onwards, I will release at least 20–25 songs.”Did you like our chat with Sudhir?
