According to a report in IANS, Ranveer received a threat via a WhatsApp voice note from an unidentified source, demanding crores of rupees. After this, the security outside Ranveer Singh’s residence has been amped up. The Mumbai Police was alerted and a search is underway to trace the sender of the message.

The development comes on the heels of growing concerns over law and order in the city. Earlier, shots were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s home. Five rounds were fired at Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, leaving visible bullet marks on the building. The filmmaker’s home has multiple entry points and extensive CCTV coverage. The suspects fled after the shooting, and senior police officials and Crime Branch teams reached the spot soon after the incident was reported.
The Mumbai Crime Branch investigation revealed that the vehicle used in the firing was sourced from Pune. It belonged to a local man who had sold it for Rs 30,000 to Aditya Gayki, one of the arrested accused.Police said Gayki and another accused, Samarth Pomaji, later abandoned the vehicle at a pre-decided spot in Juhu. Investigators claim the shooter was instructed by Shubham Lonkar to collect the vehicle and open fire. As per the Crime Branch, the crime followed a familiar pattern where multiple small groups are used, with each kept unaware of the others.
