After eight successful seasons, talks for the next have begun. According to a news portal’s latest report, Karan might bring Koffee With Karan back for the ninth time. The discussion is said to be at a nascent stage right now.

As per Mid-Day's report, the ninth season of Koffee With Karan could be created with multiple changes to the format, keeping the audience’s interest and choices in mind. A source close to the development told the publication that Karan may shorten the segments and make them more current. Instead of just Bollywood actors, South celebrities, OTT actors and even creators will be called to grace the couch. The past few seasons had South stars sharing their stories, and opinions. If everything falls into place, Koffee With Karan season 9 will stream on JioHotstar by the end of this year with a revamped format. The deal, as per the report, hasn’t been locked as of now.

Koffee With Karan season 8 premiered in October 2023 and ended in January 2024. The season opened with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, followed by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The third episode featured Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, while Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt appeared in the fourth. Other guests on the show were Varun Dhawan with Sidharth Malhotra, Kajol with Rani Mukerji, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani, Aditya Roy Kapur alongside Arjun Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, and Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan. It was also graced by Zeenat Aman and Neetu Kapoor. The season finale featured digital creators Tanmay Bhat, Danish Sait, Kusha Kapila, and Sumukhi Suresh.
