Fatima Sana Shaikh on winning Filmfare OTT award
Speaking exclusively to
Zoom, Fatima expressed, "It's very special because we usually don't see short films being recognised. We do short films because we just have to tell a story, there is no pressure from the box office, we don't even know how many people will watch it or not."

She further lauded Filmfare for recognising short format movies. "And when platforms like Filmfare recognise short format films, it's very motivating for young directors and technicians to go and explore, even for me. I got a chance to play an interesting character, be a part of a story that is saying beyond words. This is the place where we actually get to express ourselves as performers. So this is really beautiful for me," she added.

Fatima Sana Shaikh on her journey in films
Continuing her chat, Fatima reflected on her journey where she got good films and an opportunity to work with good people. "I just got good films, I did good films with good people. I reached out to people, what can be a more satisfying experience than this? Because we make choices thinking that we reach out to people, and when that happens, it's very surreal."On a concluding note, she mentioned, "We've struggled so much, we've given auditions, we've gone and knocked so many doors. When you finally reach here, I mean I'm standing here, holding a Filmfare award which we used to see in front of the TV in our childhood... It's a complete circle. For me it's very surreal."Stay tuned for more updates!
