Hollywood
star Chris Hemsworth recently shared a hilarious parenting mishap that left him stranded at the airport after accidentally bringing the wrong passport for one of his children. During a recent interview, the actor recalled an incident in which he mistakenly tried to use his daughter India’s passport for one of their twin sons while preparing to board a flight.Hemsworth, in an interview with Elsa Pataky for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, admitted that he only realised his mistake after airport officials questioned the identification. According to the actor, he had accidentally packed his daughter’s passport instead of his son’s and attempted to explain the mix-up.
“I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport,” Hemsworth said. “They kind of look the same.” Pataky, however, was quick to disagree, jokingly responding, “They don’t.”The actor then revealed that despite recognising the error, he still tried to make it work. “I said, ‘Oh, yeah, this is her.’ And they were like, ‘That’s a boy. No,’” Hemsworth recalled with a laugh. “So, yeah, that didn’t work.” Pataky added that the mistake ultimately meant that Hemsworth and their son were unable to board the flight. The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, share three children together - daughter India Hemsworth, 13, and twin sons Sasha Hemsworth and Tristan Hemsworth, 11.
Interestingly Hemsworth’s children have increasingly become part of his professional life as well. India notably appeared alongside her father in the 2022 Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder, where she played the character Love opposite Hemsworth’s Thor. The father-daughter duo is set to reunite once again in the upcoming Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday. However, Hemsworth recently revealed that convincing India to return to the franchise was not as easy as some might expect.Speaking on an episode of the television talk show The View earlier this year, the actor joked that he had to negotiate with his daughter before she agreed to appear on set. “In the end, I had to bribe her to come onto set,” Hemsworth said. “She’s like, ‘I’m not coming! I’m not even getting paid! What am I even doing here?’”According to the actor, India changed her mind after learning that she would be compensated for her work. Hemsworth revealed that his daughter, who enjoys racing and riding motorbikes, quickly became interested in whether her earnings could help her purchase a new bike.
