Sexual-Assault Accused Jani Master Celebrates Wife Sumalatha's Victory As She Becomes Dance Association President

Jani Master posted a video of the celebrations on social media, thanking the union members. He promised to meet their expectations, he wrote, "We promise to live up to your expectations and ensure that we always provide the very best for you."Her victory comes in the time her husband, choreographer Jani Master, faces legal allegations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The person who worked with him accused him of sexual harassment and assault over several years, beginning when the complainant was a minor. He was granted bail by the Telangana High Court in October 2024.

Following his arrest, his National Award for Best Choreography for Thiruchitrambalam was withdrawn. He was also removed from the the union that has now felicitated him during his wife’s win. Even with the controversy surrounding him, Jani choreographed songs for films including Game Changer, Thamma, Param Sundari, Jaat, Peddi, Love Insurance Kompany.
