Alaya candidly spoke about her journey from studying in New York to eventually creating a home that truly reflects who she is. Alaya F talks about importance of having your own space
During the interaction with Zoom, Alaya revealed that she has always been fiercely independent and herer time in New York played a crucial role in shaping that mindset. Living alone while studying abroad gave her a sense of autonomy that stayed with her even after she returned to India. While being back with family was comforting and enjoyable, she admitted there was always a lingering desire to carve out a space of her own. The actress said, "When I came back and I was living with my family, as much as it was wonderful and I enjoyed that a lot, I felt this need to create my own space. That was just customised and tailor made for me."
For the young actor, moving out was not about distancing herself from her family but about understanding herself better. She explained how creating her own home allowed her to build an environment that was completely tailored to her needs and preferences. Alaya excitedly talked about a space where "I could host the way I wanted to, where I could maintain things the way I wanted to."Alaya also spoke about her need for structure and organisation, describing it as a “neurotic obsessive” tendency to keep things in order. Having her own space meant she could embrace that aspect of herself without compromise. It gave her the freedom to design her lifestyle on her own terms, something she deeply values.
