After giving the biggest K-pop hits of 2025, APT, there might be more under the kitty of Blackpink member Rosé and Bruno Mars. Infact the two artists have teased fans that they have plan to release a new
song together. The collaborators revealed the news personally during an interview.Rosé and Bruno Mars spoke to Billboard recently, as their track APT from the K-pop idol's album, Rosie ruled its 2025 Year-End Charts. On the sidelines of looking back at making APT, its mammoth succes, and their friendship, they even hinted that fans could expect another release from them. And we love that song that we worked on — I won’t say the title… We’re just trying to figure out when, or how."
Challenges during making of APT
Rosé and Bruno Mars also reflected on creating
APT and
Number One Girl together. According to Bruno, the collaborators had doubts during filming the music video of
APT, least expecting that it'd become such a massive global hit. "We were under so much pressure because we were running out of time. We did this whole music video in slow motion, basically. That’s how it looks all jittery, so we had to do the song over and over again and it was going [in slow motion], “Apateu, apateu/Apateu, apateu.” So it’s hours and hours of that and everybody’s looking at us like, “What the hell are they doing?” And the song’s not even out yet, no one’s heard it. So we have a whole video set and Rosie’s team being like, “Are we going to be OK?” So as much fun as it was, there was a lot of trust," Bruno said.

Bruno's role in Number One Girl
Rosé added how Bruno gave her some very important advices while writing
Number One Girl, another track from
Rosie. Bruno went on to become the song's co-writer and co-producer. She said, "We were on a phone call regarding other work stuff and I said, 'Bruno, I’m kind of stuck on this,' and he hears it and I remember he started playing it on the piano. Then he started singing it and he was like, 'It should kind of do this and do that.' And I was like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, let me write that down.' And the next day, he was like, 'Come to the studio, let’s work on it a bit.' He showed me his ideas and it was really, I feel like, what the song needed. And yes, there was a little bit of debate in the middle of me being like, 'But we can’t let go of this!' and him being like, 'Rosie, you have to trust me.' But it was all for the better."

APT at Grammys
Bruno also discussed
APT's three nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards. "To walk away with a win… This is tricky for me because I feel like we won [already]. The Grammys and any awards show, it’s a tricky situation, and you never know. But for me, the fact that this little idea turned into what it is and two artists got together and put it out and we weren’t crazy and people did love it, that’s it. That’s when it’s done. Did you do it or you didn’t? That’s the win. I’m not trying to be political, but that’s the truth, so anything else is a bonus. We get a chance to get dressed up and go have fun, and me and Rosie get to hang out at the Grammys. But you can’t tell me that we didn’t win already," he shared.
Fans react to upcoming collab
Fans quickly started reacting to the possible upcoming collab between Rosé and Bruno Mars. A user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "oh another huge hit coming for them, might not be as big as APT but the hype will be there, if APT is her Gangnam Style then this will be her Gentleman." A second one said, "Bruno Mars literally gave Rosé a career. Appreciate him." One fan demanded, "I HOPE IT’S BALLAD PLEASEEEEEE"
About APT
APT was released through The Black Label and Atlantic Records on October 18, 2024, as the lead single from Rosé's debut studio album,
Rosie (2024). Inspired by a South Korean drinking game, the song's chorus is built around the game's rhythmic chant of apateu. It marked Rosé's first solo track in three years and her first release since departing from YG Entertainment in 2023.
