According to the statistics, Netflix counts views across each title's first 91 days of viewing for compiling its all-time list. However, since Stranger Things dropped its season 5 in batches, views are counted through each volume's first 91 days. Since, Stranger Things 5, Volume 1 released its first four episodes on November 26, it will count viewership through February 24, 2026. For Volume 2's three episodes that arrived on Christmas Day (December 25), the counting will on till March 25, 2026. As for its final episode that landed on the OTT platform on December 31, the viewership will flow till March 31, 2026.

This put Stranger Things 5 at an advantage of three months more to soar on the all-time chart. As of now, with its ninth position, it has kicked Fool Me Once off the chart, and overthrown The Night Agent Season 1.

Stranger Things 5's expected ranking in final charting

Stranger Things 4 which released in 2022 remains at No. 3 on the same chart with 140.7 million views to this day, outranked by only Wednesday Season 1 (252.1 million views) and Adolescence (142.6 million views). Several estimates claim that considering Stranger Things 5 marked its biggest-ever opening for an English-language series on Netflix with 59.6 million views, it is quite possible that the season will break into No. 1 spot as its final entry in the all-time list.
