Two Prayer Meets For Dharmendra EXPLAINED: Sunny-Bobby And Hema Malini-Esha Pay Tributes Separately

Dharmendra, one of the greatest actors in Indian cinema, bid adieu to the world on November 24. Three days later, on November 27, popular names from across industries came in to pay their last respects

at two separate prayer meets held for the legendary star.The first prayer meet was organised by Dharmendra's first wife Prakash Kaur and sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. It was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Abhay Deol, among many others.On the other hand, the second prayer meet was hosted by his second wife Hema Malini and their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Hema Malini organised the prayer meet at her house. Several close family friends and well-wishers, including Sunita Ahuja and her son Yashvardhan, were seen arriving at Hema Malini’s home. She also shared some memorable moments of herself and her daughters Esha and Ahana with Dharmendra. She wrote, "Dharam ji, He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them."For the uninitiated, Dharmendra would have turned 90 on December 8. The actor passed away at the age of 89. The actor is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur and their four children Sunny, Bobby, Ajeta and Vijayta; and his second wife Hema Malini and their two daughters, Esha and Ahana.(With inputs from IANS)
