At the trailer launch of
Peddi, Ram Charan recalled that his father, Chiranjeevi and Janhvi Kapoor's mother Sridevi had worked together in the past, and he mentioned that it had been a long-standing wish for their families and fans to see him and Janhvi share the screen. "It is like a nostalgic thing for all of us and this pair will not disappoint you guys. She's done her best."
Speaking more about his pairing with Janhvi, Charan said that she is a very "diligent person." He praised Janhvi for her hard work, mentioning that while he was busy shooting for 85 consecutive days, she had been rehearsing a song on the last day of filming. He said that she has performed much better than him and called her a “Chupa Rustam."
