Brooklyn Beckham has taken a courage once again to speak against his parents David Becham and Lady Victoria Beckham, accusing them of ruining his relationship with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz. Taking
to his official social media handle, he has pointed out that his parents have 'controlled' narratives in media about their family and clarified that they have 'tried enough' but 'My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family.' With this he has once again taken a stand for his wife, lashing out that they only met as family during major events which involved press and media.
Brooklyn Beckham calls out family for disrespecting wife Nicola
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Brooklyn started with publicly calling out his parents and agreed that he has been silence for years and tried his best to make the matter private. He went on with, "Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."
Brooklyn stresses on their wedding instances ruined by parents
Later on, he started with accusing his parents for their attempts to ruin his marriage with Nicola Waltz. He iterated few instances from before, during and after their marriage which included wedding dress drama where his mother did not allow her to wear her design. "During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me "evil" because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola's Naunni at our table, because they both didn't have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours," he explained.
He slammed his parents for constantly disrespecting his wife and called out his mother for inviting women from his part to make their marriage uncomfortable. But, "Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad's birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner. When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn't invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all."
Adding to the fact that his family values public promotions and endorsements and that their public value 'Beckham' comes first to them, he said that their family's love is determined by their social media status. "How quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it's at the expense of our professional obligations. We've gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show "our perfect family." But the one time my wife asked for my mum's support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused."
The long message was concluded with him clarifying that his wife does not control him, irrespective of the narrative that has been set in the minds. Rather he pointed out his parents for his 'overwhelming anxiety' and agreed that after stepping away from his family, his anxiety has 'disappeared'. "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family," he concluded.
The beginning of the fued
Reports claim tensions date back to 2022, around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish, multi-million-pound wedding. One of the earliest flashpoints was Nicola’s decision to wear a Valentino gown instead of a dress designed by her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham. Although both women publicly denied any fallout, insiders have long suggested the incident marked the beginning of lingering resentment.
