During the special SRK Day fan event, the superstar reflected on his journey with Siddharth Anand and how their creative partnership has evolved. “I think Siddharth is a very, very organized director. I learnt a lot. I didn’t know how to play an action hero before that. I have done a couple of action films, but when a director directs you and tells you certain things while you’re trying to do a scene, you have to be smart enough to understand and take it from him that, ‘Oh, if I have to play a hero-hero who is massy, who is strong…’”He further added, “I have never played films like that maybe Karan Arjun had that. Baazigar was more of a thriller. So whatever Sid told me, I imbibed that. Talking about how their bond deepened over time, SRK shared, “As we’ve become friends over the last two-three years, he’s begun to understand how I’d like to create a new kind of macho hero. He’s a very aesthetic director wonderfully aesthetic. He makes things beautiful without making them ‘pretty’. It just looks beautiful.
