Sandeep Reddy Vanga and actor Prabhas kicked off the shooting for their much-anticipated film Spirit earlier today, with the makers holding a grand mahurat ceremony on Sunday. The event was attended by the entire crew, marking the official beginning of the project. Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the occasion as the chief guest, joined by producer Bhushan Kumar and actress Tripti Dimri. On Saturday evening, Vivek Oberoi, who also stars in the film, shared a glimpse of the mahurat shot and penned a heartfelt note.

Taking to his official X handle (Formerly known as Twitter), Vivek wrote, "An epic cinematic journey begins today as Spirit goes on floors. With love and gratitude, let the spirits soar!"

Makers mark Spirit's Mahurat

Earlier in the day, makers shared pictures from the pooja, showing Chiranjeevi and Bhushan Kumar holding the film’s clapboard, with director Sandeep and Tripti standing beside them. However, Prabhas was noticeably absent in the photos, as were co-stars Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi. In the post, the makers wrote, “Officially @InSpiritMode…. Excited fans ask 'Where is Prabhas?

Fans expressed both excitement for the film and curiosity about Prabhas’ absence, speculating that he may have skipped the ceremony to prevent his look from being leaked. Comments included: “Where is Prabhas?” and “Eagerly waiting for this banger combo.”Earlier, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had released an audio teaser of the film on Prabhas’ birthday, hinting at his character as a cop. The teaser featured a jailer instructing his assistant on handling an ex-cop in remand, ending with Prabhas’ voice stating, “Right from childhood, I have one bad habit.”

In Spirit, Prabhas will play a cop, while Tripti Dimri, who replaced Deepika Padukone, will portray his love interest. Scheduled for release in 2026, the film is a collaboration between Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Sandeep Bhadrakali Pictures, promising high-octane action and a gripping storyline that has fans eagerly awaiting its release.
