Nandish Sandhu Inspires From Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar While 'Figuring Out' Detachment, Criticism | Exclusive

Nandish Singh Sandhu, Indian actor who has explored his horizons from being a Television actor to cinema, recently spoke about balancing complexities while working on betterment. The actor mentioned a quote

from King Shah Rukh Khan which inspires him to keep moving in his life. Nandish was recently seen in Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web, starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. Apart from this, Nandish has done projects like Super 30, Jubilee, Uttaran, and more.

Nandish Sandhu talks about dealing with criticism

While talking to us, Nandish Sandhu expressed the importance of detachment in order to grow. He explained, "You have to figure out a way how to be detached from what you're doing. There was a very important line which Shah Rukh Khan said in one of the interviews, years back I heard this, where he said that, I'm not Shah Rukh Khan, I work for Shah Rukh Khan. And I've seen that being circulated online so many times. And I really believe in that. What he said, that line has stayed with me. That's how you detach yourself from what you're doing. If you start believing that, you know, I'm a star, and I am this actor, and because of me, the projects are running. Ultimately, there will be a time when you will not be so relevant."

Nandish Sandhu refers Karan Johar's saying

Another example the Taskaree actor mentioned was of Karan Johar was asked, what is your biggest fear? To which he replied 'being irrelevant'. He added, "So there will be a time when you will become irrelevant. Maybe your films, or what you've made, or what you've written will stay. But as an individual, you will not be the center of attention always. Right? And it's a very good way to detach yourself when you think that, okay, I'm working for this person, what Shah Rukh Khan said. That I work for this brand, I'm not this person. Maybe I'm somebody else in my personal life. And that's something that stayed with me. That's how I also look at it now."Take a look at the entire interview below:

On the personal front, Nandish Sandhu left everyone surprised when he announced his Roka to actress Kavita Banerjee. The actor shared a bunch of happy photos with Kavita, introducing her as his 'partner' on social media. They had their Roka ceremony in October 2025.
