Can This Love Be Translated? stands out for its unique interpretation of romance and a slow-burn plot that seeps in deep with the striking performances by actors Kim Seon-Ho and Go Youn-Jung. Written by the ace
Hong Sisters, the K-drama is already trending on Netflix and social media platforms ever since it released on January 16. Infact to say that it is the first hit Korean title on the streamer won't be wrong. While the basic plot beautifully captures why love needs no language, one actor who's grabbing eyeballs for his non-Korean descent is Sota Fukushi, who plays the second lead, character Hiro Kurosawa.
Character of Hiro Kurosawa in Can This Love Be Translated?
Hiro Kurosawa is a character shown to be a Japanese actor who holds the nickname of "Romance Prince." He's fame-hungry, looking for global stardom. Initially a narcissist, who dislikes Cha Mu-Hee (Go Youn-Jung) as she fails to recognise him, he evenually grows in love with her while working on a romance reality show that travels the world. From rejecting her "zombie" personality to getting fond of her ever-smiling attitude, he surrenders to her positivity in life even when she's fighting an inner demon that he isn't aware of. Hiro is the second lead of the show, who turns into a love rival for Joo Ho-Jin (Kim Seon-Ho). So much so that he even starts doing childish things, unleashing a side of him nobody was aware of, just to make Mu-Hee smile.
